Karan Odom comments on why female birds have lost their song

Karan Odom was the lead author on a paper published in 2014 about the widespread incidence of female song among songbirds. She was interviewed about a recent study in Science exploring why female song has been lost in many species of songbirds in the temperate region. The study involved female superb fairy wrens (pictured).
