Medical School Virtual Open House 

The Office of Recruitment and Admissions periodically hosts a VIRTUAL Open House typically lasting two hours.  This event is for anyone interested in learning more about a career in military medicine but is unable to travel to our university.  Find out what our medical school has to offer, speak with our Associate Dean for Recruitment and Admissions, and ask our current medical students your questions, all from the comfort of your own home!  
 
The next scheduled Virtual Open Houses are listed below.  There is no charge but advance registration is required.  Register online to participate in either of these events.

Medical School Admissions Open House

Periodically, the University welcomes prospective students for tours of the campus and medical school. The Open House is a scheduled event running from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. In cooperation with different departments at the university, the Office of Recruitment and Admissions coordinates several Open Houses, encompassing a presentation by the Associate Dean for Recruitment and Admissions, an Admissions Brief by the Director or an Admissions Counselor and a student panel with current USU medical students. There may also be an opportunity to view the movie "Fighting for Life", take a tour of the facilities or participate in a hands-on activity for small groups.

Family and friends are welcome to attend (ages 12 and above). All visitors will have to provide their full name so we can expedite access through base security. Dress is professional casual with comfortable walking shoes. No open-toe shoes.

A light lunch is provided.

Release Form

Everyone attending the Open House is required to submit a Release Form. Prior to your visit, email your form to secnav.recruitment@usuhs.edu.

Base Access Requirement 

A SECNAV 5512/1 Form must be submitted for base access. Forms must be filled out for ALL guests, age 18 and up, who will be accompanying or transporting you beyond the base gates. The SECNAV 5512 form must be emailed to secnav.recruitment@usuhs.mil by the registration deadline date using the instructions for submitting below. Forms cannot be submitted more than 30 days before the Open House.

  1. f you have a current DoD CAC, DoD TESLIN (military retiree ID, military dependent ID, reservist ID, etc), you are NOT required to submit the SECNAV 5512 Base Access Form.
