Path forward after receiving an academic intervention alert

Repost from CNMS Advising Event (Nov. 4th @ noon)

Did you receive an academic intervention alert this fall or are you looking to improve your performance in one or more of your courses? If so, with six weeks of the semester remaining, we invite you to carve out an hour in your schedule to attend this workshop to develop a plan to reset, refocus and facilitate incremental progress in your courses.

Wednesday, November 4, 2020

Noon-12:50pm

Here’s what to expect in the session:

  • First, we will discuss steps you can take to understand where your grade stands in the course and make some projections for what the best and worst case outcomes are for the semester.

  • Next, we will learn about specific changes you can implement to help facilitate a positive outcome in your courses as the semester comes to a close.

  • Finally, if you are unsure if your grade can be recovered, and want to explore an option that will allow for your GPA to not be negatively affected, we will discuss the option to withdraw from a course. With the withdraw deadline approaching on November 11th, we will talk through what important steps you should be taking to gather information to help in the decision making process.
