Retrievers Connect is a professional networking platform, just for UMBC students and alumni. The Career Center, in partnership with the Office of Alumni Engagement, are excited about this new way to connect alumni volunteers with students to foster the career success of the UMBC community. You can access a broad support network of UMBC alumni to provide career advice, resume and interview assistance, and possibly gain access to internship and job opportunities. Filter by topic of interest, major, UMBC student organization, industry, sport, and identity to find someone who you can relate to. When reaching out on Retrievers Connect, it is important to begin by asking for advice and not for jobs. Consider requesting an informational interview as the first step in the process. It is a quick way to get some critical information about the person, the industry, and their company, plus Retrievers Connect makes it easy to schedule and even have your informational interview over video on the platform.
