Harvard University

Summer Research Program 

The Harvard-Amgen Scholars Program is a ten-week faculty mentored residential summer research program for undergraduates in biotechnology. Through this program, a diverse cohort of undergraduates will have the opportunity to work in laboratories of faculty across the Harvard campus. In addition to research, the Scholars will participate in a number of intellectual, pre-professional development, and social activities throughout the program. The scholars will live on Harvard University’s main campus, in Cambridge, MA,  among over 300 undergraduate residents of the Harvard Summer Undergraduate Research Village community in one of the historic Houses along the Charles River.

 

Eligibility to apply: current sophomores, juniors and non-graduating seniors

Students with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 out of 4.0 scale, with serious interest in biotechnology and biomedical research. Prior research experience is not required.

REU Program in Animal Behavior

Every summer, the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior (CISAB), with generous support from the National Science Foundation, invites ten talented undergraduates to Bloomington, Indiana to work with IU faculty on individualized research projects in animal behavior.

Maryland Sea Grant

Science Management and Policy Internship

Are you graduating or a recent graduate looking for an opportunity in science policy or management? Apply to join the Maryland Sea Grant team as a Science Management and Policy Intern. This one to two-year internship will offer experience working with an environmental-focused university organization dedicated to research, education, and outreach. This position will provide fundamental training for interns to transition to graduate school or the private, non-profit, or governmental sectors. As part of the internship, you will be expected to complete 2-3 special projects, participate in several professional development trainings, and contribute to the administration of our main office.

This internship will be for one year with the option to renew for a second year. The internship is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Contractual Contingent 2 position at Maryland Sea Grant’s office in College Park, Maryland. The intern will be paid an annual salary of $35,000 as well as limited benefits including health insurance, tuition remission, and generous leave. In early 2022, it is expected that the internship will be a mix of in-person and remote work.
