ONLINE APPOINTMENTS
- Career Center professionals are available for virtual appointments. Students may schedule individual 30- or 60-minute appointments through UMBCworks. NEW- 15-minute "Express Appointments" are also an option for a quick resume review.
We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for this summer's REU Raptor Research Site at Boise State University.Members of underrepresented groups, individuals with disabilities, veterans of military service, and students from colleges and universities with limited research opportunities are especially encouraged to apply. Students receive a summer stipend, campus housing, and round trip travel to Boise for the 10-week summer experience. There are both laboratory and field opportunities for students to conduct research on birds of prey. Please see our project web site for additional information:https://www.boisestate.edu/ raptorresearchcenter/reu/Applications for Summer 2021 participation are due by February 10, 2021, and finalists for participation are typically selected by mid-March.**Please note that Covid-19 safety protocols are being instituted, and all participants will be required to follow university safety procedures including possible testing, mandatory use of facial coverings, appropriate social distancing, and isolation/quarantine when warranted.Now that we are heading on to holiday break, this is the perfect time to seek out summer opportunities!
Here are some free and paid health care summer programs available for next summer! Applications are open now! They offer free residential** so applications are welcome from all over the country!
1) Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP) offers you the opportunity to simulate the first year of Dentistry, Medical, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy Schools incorporating academic course, case studies, presentations, socials, and community service. Its six weeks of rigorous intensive work, clinical experience, community service, fun, and preparation for your respective application season. This program is for Juniors, Seniors, and Post-Bacc students.
Participants Receive: $1500 for participating, travel reimbursement available if you are traveling out of state, and free housing** for duration of program in one of the luxury residence halls here at VCU.

2) Another opportunity now available is the Allied Health Career Exploration (AHCE) .This program is open to ALL college students and 12th Grade High School students. AHCE is a two-week exploration program that provides interactive experiences with Gerontology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nurse Anesthesia, Patient Counseling, Rehab and Mental Health Counseling, Health Administration and Radiation Sciences! 9 Careers that are part of a successful interdisciplinary team in any patient care setting.
Participants Receive: $300 for participating and free housing** for duration of program in one of the luxury residence halls here at VCU.

3) The PIPELINE Podcast is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music and all streaming platforms by searching VCU Pipeline. We interview interesting guests and it is cohosted by students who were a part of our programs in the past! This is Not a Program but it may help you decide to be a part of one of our programs!
