In his extensive scientific career, Professor Thomas Cronin has profoundly shaped the field of visual ecology through the influence of his research on society, technology, and the general public, as well as by broadening participation within this area through his mentoring, teaching and collaborations. His work continues to fuel innovation in areas of bio-inspired technology, including specialized cameras, image processing, and applications that utilize dimensions of the visual world that humans cannot normally see. To honor the tremendous contributions of Dr. Cronin and to provide new scientific inspiration, we are organizing a one-day symposium of speakers that encompass the broad, international impact of his career.
All are invited, but an RSVP is required.
This event is generously supported by the Office of Alumni Engagement, The Office of Institutional Advancement, the CNMS Dean’s Office, and the Department of Biological Sciences.
