Description
Please join the UMBC LGBTQ+/Allied STEM group as they invite Dr. André K Isaacs, Associate Professor of Chemistry, College of the Holy Cross to speak on May 14th at noon. "I want to be the spark that ignites the next generation of confident, queer scientists."
Dr. Isaacs is an organic chemist whose research focuses on "the copper catalyzed cycloaddition of sulfonyl azides and terminal alkynes (CuAAC)". Additionally, he is the popular Tiktok creator, drdre4000, and a passionate advocate for queer visibility and acceptance in STEM. Dr. Isaacs has agreed to discuss his research with us, as well as his experience being a queer scientist.
